MUMBAI: Rallis India Ltd has reported a 57-per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 13.32 crore for third quarter ending December 2004, against Rs 31.23 crore in the year-ago period. However, in the year-ago period, the company had an exceptional profit of Rs 53.82 crore through the sale of Ralli House in Mumbai.

The company, on a turnaround mode, reported a higher total income of Rs 180.93 crore during the third quarter against Rs 145.57 crore in the year-ago period.

Rallis said sales of pesticides, which now contributes more than 95 per cent of the total turnover, grew by 40 per cent over the year-ago period.

The company turned in a net profit of Rs 29.49 crore during the nine-month period, against Rs 10.46 crore in the year-ago period.
