The demand for one gram gold jewellery, sold at cheaper rates, has declined due to mushrooming of exclusive outlets throughout the State. It was in great demand in the recent past due to the low prices and the money-back guarantee and exchange offer for used ones. Availability of fake ornaments in the market has also contributed to the decline of one gram gold.
