VIGNETTE Corporation has announced expansion of its Global Development Centre (GDC) located in Hyderabad with Virtusa Corporation to support co-development of its products.

With an expected staff of over 140 employees, the Vignette-Virtusa GDC will specialise in technical design, development and testing for the Vignette software suite. Spread across 30 offices worldwide, Vignette offers products and professional services to harness the power of information and the Web to deliver measurable improvements in business efficiency.

The Chief Executive Officer of Virtusa, Mr Kris Canekeratne, in a statement said: "we plan to execute software development projects with the help of some of the industry's most creative and progressive software engineering talent."

The Vice-President of Vignette, Mr Leo Brunnick, said: "The Vignette-Virtusa GDC co-produces software for the enterprise market."
