A small-time miner pushes his bicycle laden with coal on the ghat road of Patratu near Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, on Sunday afternoon. A large number of people in the State, which is preparing for the Assembly elections, make their living from coalmines. They sell the coal at Ranchi market, which is about 40 km away.
