New Delhi , Feb. 4 ROLLS Royce, bullish on the prospects in the Indian market, is to have a strong presence at the Aero India air show. The five-day air show opens in Bangalore on February 9. Addressing a press conference, the Managing Director, Rolls-Royce India, Mr Tim Jones, said that among those who would be attending the air show include the Managing Director of Rolls Royce Defence Aerospace and the company's world-wide Engineering Director. In addition, the company's Chief Executive Officer, Sir John Rose, is expected to visit India again during the middle of the year. The group provides power systems and associated services for use on land, sea and air. Commenting on the Indian market, Mr Jones said that the company was expecting more orders for the V-2500 engines that power the Airbus aircraft of Indian Airlines and Air Deccan. "We expect more in India. However, we cannot say how and when just yet," Mr Jones said. The soon to be launched Kingfisher Airlines has also chosen the V-2500 aircraft to power its Airbus A-320 aircraft. In response to another question, the Managing Director said that the company was talking to all airlines in India looking at operating long-range aircraft. Rolls Royce was also looking forward to working closely with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Mr Jones said.
