LG to widen product range

CHENNAI: LG Electronics India Ltd (LGEIL) is widening its product offering in the information technology segment and is targeting a turnover of Rs 1,200 crore from this segment this year.

LGEIL is targeting a turnover of Rs 10,000 crore this year.

Mr R. Manikandan, General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Product Group Head, LGEIL, said the company's IT segment registered a turnover of Rs 741 crore, a growth of about 65 per cent at the end of 2004 while the company's turnover was Rs 6,500 crore last year.

LG offers a range of products, which includes optical storage devices (OSD), monitors, computers, mouse, keyboard and notebooks.
