Our Bureau

VISAKHAPATNAM: TVS Motor Company launched its new 100 cc 4-stroke vehicle, TVS Star, here on Friday.

The area manager, Mr R. Balaji, said that it had been launched a few months ago in the northern States and in January in Tamil Nadu. So far, he said more than 50,000 vehicles have been sold.

He said it is competitively priced at Rs 35,000 (on the road) and has many excellent features such as an all-terrain tyre. "It will be particularly useful in rural areas as well,'' he said. He said it would be available in three colours — black, blue and red — and it would give mileage of 70 km per litre.
