KOLKATA: Texport Electronics Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture of Texport of Kolkata and Sangam Swiss SA of Chiasso, Switzerland, has launched the AVI range of air-conditioners.

Besides West Bengal, these products will be available in Jharkhand, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

According to Major Raj Sahai, Managing Director of Texport Electronics, the AVI range has been developed by Basile of Italy. The products are manufactured in China under a contractual arrangement. In the Indian market, the AVI range of air-conditioners is priced between Rs 8,900 and Rs 85,000.
