US visas, passports to be cheaper from Feb 14

New Delhi , Feb. 6

APPLYING for US visas, passports and other consular services would become cheaper from February 14 as the US consular section plans to reduce the exchange rate to Rs 44 a dollar from Rs 46.

"The February 14 adjustment in exchange rate will lower the rupee price of all consular transactions, including services for American citizens," said an official release.
