Tea body plea on VAT

KOCHI: The Tea Buyers Association has urged the State Finance Minister to consider the request of the Association to include tea in the VAT schedule attracting 4 per cent tax.

The Association made the request in view of the fact tea is a common man's beverage and also one of the major cash crop items in Kerala.
