THE State Government has appealed to the business community in Singapore to invest in food-processing, chemicals and pharmaceutical sectors in the State.

Mr N. Raghuveera Reddy, Minister for Agriculture, who is on a three-day visit to Singapore, addressed a meeting organised by Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Business Federation and the Manufacturing Association of Singapore on Monday.

Inviting joint ventures, the Minister briefed them about the incentives being provided by the State for enhancing the agricultural output. He asked them to pay a visit to Andhra Pradesh to examine the investment opportunities.

According to a Government release, the participants showed keen interest in agro and agro-processing areas.
