The Hindu Business Line : Zydus files IND application

AHMEDABAD: Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd has filed its first investigational new drug (IND) application with the Drug Controller General of India for a new agent that seeks to correct metabolic disorders.

Developed by the Zydus Research Centre, the company's research wing, the new molecular entity, ZY-H1, has shown the ability to correct dyslipidemia (cholesterol levels), improve insulin resistance and lower blood glucose in diabetic conditions, the company said here on Monday.
