Standards & Benchmarks ISO for Secunderabad railway station Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: The Secunderabad Railway Station has achieved the ISO-9001 Certification for quality management in ticket booking, parcel and luggage booking and train management of platform. Mr R. Velu, Minister of State for Railways, declared the station ISO certified here on Tuesday. "All the 194 trains the station handles have got the fixed platform nominations to avoid any confusion among various departments and people," a South Central Railway spokesman said. The certification also covered cleanliness, security and safety. He said the SCR would introduce electronic accommodation status display systems at the reservation facility. "We will also increase number of counters, besides enhancing enquiry service," he said.
