Bharti moves tribunal over licence fee refund

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Feb. 8

THE Bharti group has filed a suit against the Government with the Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal, seeking refund of the entry fee paid by the company for acquiring basic licences.

The company had paid Rs 135 crore for acquiring basic licences in five circles, which, it claims, have become redundant owing to the unified licence regime, which allows basic operators to migrate to mobile services.
