SBOA concern over new economic policies

Our Bureau

Mangalore , Feb. 9

THE fourth triennial conference of the Syndicate Bank Officers' Association (SBOA) has expressed unhappiness over the Government's new economic policies.

The conference, which adopted a resolution in this regard, felt the new economic policies and reforms initiated by the Government would widen disparities in wealth and income, and further impoverish the masses of the country. Copies of resolutions were released to the press on Wednesday.

The conference observed that the Government's policies amount to `surrender' of nation's self respect and sovereignty to the World Bank and IMF.
