Raj Rayon net up 14%

MUMBAI: Raj Rayon, manufacturer of polyester texturised yarn, posted a 14-per cent rise in net profit at Rs 1.72 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2004, from Rs 1.51 crore in the year-ago period.

Net sales rose to Rs 46.81 crore (Rs 30.88 crore).

The company said work was on for setting up a polyester-oriented yarn plant and it is expected to be completed by March-end.

It also said that State Bank of India had reduced the interest rate on all its term and working capital loans by 3 per cent .
