HYDERABAD: Convergs Corporation, the $2.3-billion business process services provider, has commissioned its IT campus here that would focus on research and development and handle Asia-Pacific professional services practice.

As a part of its global transformation drive, Convergys is planning to expand its business into non-US markets since a majority of it is currently US-centric. Having grown the India operations rapidly, it is exploring other markets and new streams of business.

Addressing a press conference here after inaugurating its tech campus in the Hitec City, the Executive Vice-President of Convergys, Global Information Management Operations, Mr Larry S. Schwartz, said the Hyderabad IT campus augments Convergys's delivery capability and strengthens its support infrastructure outside India.
