Human Resources Arackal to train NEC engineers Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , Feb. 9 THE city-based Arackal Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd has signed an agreement with NEC Corporation-Japan to provide training to employees of NEC. Announcing this at a press conference in the city on Tuesday, Mr A. Leon Mohanraj, Chief Operating Officer, Arackal Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd, said the training programme is intended for entry-level Japanese engineers who are beginning their career with NEC. The objective of the training programme, which will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, is to enhance the problem solving abilities of the participants and also provide them with expertise in the latest IT skills. The training sessions are also designed to help the participants improve their `global communication capabilities', especially in English, he said. Hence, all classes will be in English, though Japanese interpreters will be available, he added. According to Mr Mohanraj, this is the first time that such a large multinational company, with a large internal training department, is outsourcing its training to a company in Kerala. Arackal Digital Solutions hopes to organise another training programme for NEC in August, he added. The first batch of 30 trainees, accompanied by managers, is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday for the month-long course that will begin on Monday (February 14). Representatives of NEC's labour unions are also expected to visit Thiruvananthapuram and assess the training programme, he added.
