Chennai , Feb. 11

HCL Peripherals, a unit of HCL Infosystems, has entered into a global relationship with the US-based Intransa Inc to offer system integration services based on the latter's storage solutions.

Both companies would contribute $1 million (about Rs 4.5 crore) each to the joint effort this year, said Mr S. Pattabiraman, Executive Vice-President, HCL Peripherals.

A 50-member joint team has been formed to provide system integration services for clients based on Intransa's IPSAN (Internet Protocol Storage Area Network) solutions, he told newspersons.

IPSAN enables communication between storage devices and computers using Internet protocol, he said.

"According to Mr Pattabiraman, using Intransa's product, HCL Peripherals would offer customers end-to-end solutions - right from a concept to completion of a project.

HCL would leverage Intransa's competency in storage solutions and Intransa would leverage on HCL's network through its offshore infrastructure in India and abroad.
