Nabard employees' demands

HYDERABAD: The officers and employees of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard), who launched an agitation in June last demanding parity with Reserve Bank of India in pay and allowances, have decided to intensify their stir.

Mr S. Padmanaban, Secretary of National Bank Officers' Association,and Mr Y.N. Reddy, President of National Bank Employees' Association, said here in a press release that the staff held a one-day mass dharna on the office premises here on Friday.

The staff were also demanding the grant of Development Financial Institution status to the bank and immediate release of special compensatory allowance.
