HYDERABAD: The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) is launching a new initiative called `EU-India Network of Women Entrepreneurs' on Monday.

Scheduled to be launched by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the network would be funded by the European Commission under the aegis of EU-India Small Projects Facility.

In a press release here on Friday, Ms Ramadevi Kanneganti, President of ALEAP, said the network was aimed at providing training to entrepreneurs in the State to help them produce globally competitive products in an environmentally sustainable manner. "Food processing and garment sectors, the two important sectors of our economy, would be taken up through the network," she said.
