The Hindu Business Line : LG signs Zayed Khan as brand ambassador

New Delhi , Feb. 11

CONSUMER electronics manufacturer LG Electronics is hopping on to the in-film advertising bandwagon and has signed deals with two forthcoming Bollywood movies.

The company has also signed on actor Zayed Khan for promoting its high-end mobile phones and DVD players.

"We have signed deals with two big Bollywood film banners. LG will make in-film placements in those movies," Mr Salil Kapoor, Head - Marketing, LG Electronics, said.

LG's brand ambassadors till now have been from the cricketing fraternity and include the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Ravi Shastri, K. Srikanth amongst others.

Speaking at the announcement of their new brand ambassador, Mr Kapoor said, "LG Electronics till now was associated closely with brand ambassadors from the cricketing fraternity. While we will continue our association with cricket, we would like to further enlarge the scope of our brand by associating with Zayed Khan."
