Dumping probe initiated on SFS imports from China

THE Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry has initiated an anti-dumping probe on imports of sodium formaldehyde sulphoxylate (SFS) from China.

SFS is mainly used as discharging agent in textile printing. It also finds uses in food, polymers, pharmaceuticals and miscellaneous industries.

Transpek-Silox Industry Led, Gujarat, Demosha Chemicals Pvt Ltd, Mumbai and T.C.P. Ltd, Chennai have filed the application through T.P.M. Consultants, New Delhi on behalf of the domestic industry.

Meanwhile, the authority has also initiated a mid-term review of anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of Vitamin C originating in or exported from the US and Canada.

One of the importers Bajaj Health and Nutritions Pvt Ltd and Biokem International Pvt Ltd and Anglo French Drug and Industries the end-users of Vitamin C had filed a request for changed circumstances mid-term review of the anti-dumping duty in force.
