Gallery for Aranmula race

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Tourism Department has drawn up a Rs 80-lakh scheme for constructing a permanent gallery and pavilion for the Aranmula boat race.

Announcing this here, the Tourism Minister, Mr K.C. Venugopal, said on Saturday that comfort stations and an information centre would also be constructed as part of the scheme. A final shape will be given to the scheme in consultation with the local bodies and the Palliyoda Seva Sangham, among others.
