ORYZA, a day spa, will open in the city on March 1. This spa combines both Oriental and European spa techniques for a feel-good experience.

Ms Latha Mohan, CEO, Oryza, said that the spa located on Chamiers Road, one of Chennai's upmarket areas, will offer treatments that range from soaks, scrubs and massages which are aromatic, Thai and ayurvedic. There are separate men and women's sections. The spa also houses a terrace café. The investment into the spa was about Rs 70 lakh.

Mr Vikram Mohan, Director, Oryza, said that the products used are natural extracts and are sourced from Kolkata. The treatments start from Rs 1,000. The Thai massage in which no oil is used is priced at Rs 800. The facials offered include the hibiscus, clove bud and tea tree, the almond and rose and the lemon and barley treatment.

The premium pack is priced at Rs 4,000 and would take half-a-day to complete.
