Bangalore , Feb. 17

METRICSTREAM Inc, plans to expand its operations in Bangalore.

The company, which has set up a new facility that can accommodate 150 people, plans to invest about $10 million over three years in developing its infrastructure. The company expects to handle the entire key product and application development for its global customers from the new facility. The India operation of MetricStream includes customer support, professional services, quality assurance and sales support. The company has also shifted its global sales and marketing operations to Bangalore.

Mr Gaurav Kapoor, CFO, MetricStream Inc, said, "We expect to double our headcount in 2005 from the present 60 people. The new facility further strengthens our commitment to India and the importance of the India centre for MetricStream globally".

Recently, MetricStream announced the launch of its `Quality & Compliance Application' product suite - the MetricStream 3.5, which automates quality and compliance processes through various modules.

"The MetricStream 3.5 product suite was entirely built at the Bangalore development centre," Mr Kapoor said, adding the company planned to launch the product for the Indian market.
