BANGALORE: Strides Arcolab Ltd on Thursday announced yet another development and supply agreement, this time with US-based STADA Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Strides will develop and manufacture a prescription generic drug exclusively for STADA for sale in the US, a release said. The Bangalore-based generics exporter has 12 manufacturing plants worldwide and the Indian plant is slated to come in for USFDA inspection shortly.

The US company is a subsidiary of STADA Arzneimittel AG of Germany, a leading generic supplier in Germany and EU. Listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, STADA manufactures and internationally markets generic, branded and special pharmaceuticals.

According to Strides Group CEO and MD, Mr Arun Kumar, the tie-up is in tune with the Strides philosophy of partnership. STADA Acting President, Mr Paul Evans, said it would strengthen their US product portfolio with new products.
