It's show time on Reliance mobiles

Kochi , Feb. 18

RELIANCE India Mobile has launched `RIM Showtime', a 360-degree digital entertainment platform where video, mobile and Web technologies converge, in the State. The RIM Showtime Kerala experience will bring in the rich and fascinating world of movies not only on the mobile screens of RIM phones but also in broadband centres of Reliance Webworld.

"Besides the conventional channels of press, outdoors, collaterals and SMS, we will employ R World, the data application suite of RIM phones, for a real broadband experience and bring 70-mm excitement through Reliance Webworlds across Kerala. Reliance Infocomm will showcase many Malayalam movies to its over one-crore family of users. We believe that the entertainment industry is a natural partner in our business progression ahead," Mr Mahesh Thampi, RIM Business Head, Kerala, said.

In its maiden initiative in Kerala, the company has joined hands with the celluloid team of the love story Hridayathil Sookshikan. Now, RIM subscribers can experience the movie excitement on phones through R World and watch movies trailers, download wallpapers of their favourites stars, read the storyline and participate in interactive programmes and contests.

Lucky winners of the contest will also get the opportunity to video-chat with the film's celebrities or meet the stars at one of the Webworlds, a press release issued here has said.

"With a customer base of over one crore and a billion hits per month on R World, Reliance Infocomm offers a compelling proposition of reach across the geography of India," Mr Thampi added.
