CHENNAI: Hewlett-Packard has launched its Home Cinema Digital Projector in India. HP has entered the home cinema market with 3 models, priced Rs 80,000 onwards.

Commenting on HP's entry in the home projector market, Mr Manu Sharma, Country Category Manager - Imaging Products, HP India Sales Pvt said, "We want to establish ourselves as a top player."

The company, quoting a study by Decision Tree Consulting, UK, said the home projector market is expected to grow 200 per cent with sales of 5,000 plus units forecast for this year.

The HP Instant Cinema Digital Projector range is available at select retail outlets across the country. The company also has marketing tie-ups with JBL to make HP projectors available at all JBL showrooms.
