MERCURY Interactive Corporation, provider of business technology optimisation solutions, is bullish on application development in the region, which has emerged as one of the fastest growing markets.

The President of Mercury Interactive, Asia Pacific, Mr Wilson Tan, told Business Line that, "as companies increase their work complexity in application development, they need to meet the demands of quality related issues." "Technology solutions providers are focussing on quality, which can be ensured through better management of resources and usage of advanced tools, where Mercury is a leader," said Mr Tan.

"Referring to expansion in India, Mr Tan said the company was evaluating various options including an R&D centre and a professional services group. R&D is now being handled out of India through a partnership.
