Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: To mark 100 years of the Rotary movement, the Rotary Club of Thiruvananthapuram is organising a four-day Japanese Festival here from Wednesday.

To be held in association with the alumni society of the Thiruvananthapuram sub-centre of the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS), the festival will depict Japanese culture. A non-profit organisation, AOTS, aims to promote technical cooperation among the industrialised and developing countries.

Highlights of the festival will be a display of Japanese dolls, the renowned `Ikebana' and `Bonsai' sessions and screening of films relating to Japanese culture.
