Strategy VLCC Personal Care to focus on exports Our Bureau

Bangalore , Feb. 22 VLCC Personal Care, a 100 per cent subsidiary of VLCC Health Care Ltd, will focus on exports this year, its Business Head, Mr Sandeep Ahuja, has said. He said the company's turnover was expected to touch the Rs 50-crore mark next year from this year's Rs 14 crore. Mr Ahuja was speaking at the launch of the new look `Shape Up,' an anti-cellulite oil and gel. With model Malaika Arora Khan as the brand ambassador, `Shape Up' will soon be exported to Singapore, Japan and Europe. Ms Vandana Luthra, Chairperson, VLCC Health Care, said the R&D team had found "very good results with herbal and ayurvedic ingredients and it goes very well with our slimming methods." VLCC Health Care, a Rs 150-crore company, currently has 75 sliming centres in 44 cities, with Bangalore's fourth opening on Tuesday. Ms Luthra said that obesity in India is the biggest threat to people's health. VLCC Personal care has over 100 products available in 10,000 retail outlets in the country.
