Escorts starts production of engines for diesel gensets

New Delhi , Feb. 22

ESCORTS Ltd — Agri Machinery Group (AMG), a leading tractor manufacturer, on Tuesday announced that owing to the rapidly evolving market and the growing demand, the company has started production of technologically enhanced engines for diesel generators.

Escorts has also received the CPCB emission compliant certification from the Automotive Research Association of India for some of its engine models.

According to Mr Kamlesh Tripathi, Head, Engines Business, Escorts Ltd: "We have already started receiving trade enquiries from several reputed Genset manufacturers and we see tremendous growth prospects in this segment both in India and in the overseas markets for our fuel efficient engines. We are confident of emerging as a major engine supplier to the diesel generator industry in the near future."

Mr Rakesh Chopra, Business Head, Escorts AMG, said the company intends to capitalise upon the latest CPCB emission compliant certification to further strengthen its market share.
