SABMiller unmoved

Our Bureau

SABMiller, which acquired a 50-per cent stake and management control in Shaw Wallace Breweries Ltd, has said it was unperturbed by the possibility of an ownership change in the parent company, SWC.

"In the event of change in control of SWC, SABMiller's ownership and management rights is fully protected in respect of the joint venture. It continues to enjoy strong relationship with SWC," Mr Nigel Fairbrass, a SABMiller spokesperson, told Business Line from London on Wednesday.

This comes in the wake of SWC asking its potential suitors to conduct due diligence on its remaining 50 per cent holding in the joint venture beer company.
