Datacraft to offer `Insite' service to private insurer

Our Bureau

Bangalore , Feb. 25

DATACRAFT, an IT services company, has been selected to design and deploy an enterprise wide area network, which will connect 44 branch offices of one of the country's largest private insurance companies to its Bangalore headquarters.

Under the contract, the insurance company will become the first to take advantage of Datacraft's Insite network management services provided by its Bangalore-based Global Services Centre, which opened in October 2004, according to Datacraft release. It, however, did not disclose the name of the insurance company.

The insurance company has reached a point where it needs a new, robust network to support its rapidly growing business.

The customer will have access to a suite of on-line, real-time IT monitoring and management services that ranges from basic fault monitoring to extensive predictive analysis and reporting.

The Insite service includes a customer service portal that will provide the customer with an overall view of the health of its communications systems — all in real time. It will also enable the company to interact directly with Datacraft's service engineers.

Datacraft provides a comprehensive solution that includes the overall design, deployment, bandwidth provisioning and management of the Cisco-based infrastructure.
