Thiruvananthapuram , Feb. 27

THE Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) is setting up a small-industries park at Seethangoli in Kasaragode district.

The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate the park on March 7, says an official press release.

Located on 250 acres of land, the small industries park will have a range of facilities for entrepreneurs, according to the release. Approximately 60 acres of the park has already been developed.

Land at the park is being offered on a 90-year lease at a price of Rs 2.4 lakh an acre. Besides assisting the park's occupants in mobilising finance, Kinfra will also provide them with technical and managerial support if required.

Twenty-two companies from across Kerala and also from adjacent States, such as Karnataka, have already decided to start operations in the park.

This includes an oil-refining unit, an ice-cream manufacturing unit, an automated power laundry, a white cement manufacturer, a PVC footwear manufacturer, a granite processing unit and several agro-based units.
