Prime Textiles plans housing project in Tirupur

THE Tirupur-based Prime Textiles Ltd is launching a mega commercial-cum-housing property development project in the hosiery town.

The company has chalked a Rs 150-crore investment outlay for the luxury residential flats and commercial enclave it is planning to develop on its six-acre land in the town's prime Gandhinagar area.

The proposed complex - `Prime Enclave', which would include penthouses, would come up on 8.50 lakh sq ft area situated just across the Prime Textiles' mills on the Tirupur-Avanashi main road.

The total built up area would be six lakh sq.ft.

"The demand for quality residential/commercial space and the location of our property were the motivating factors to get into property development in Tirupur.

Many garment buying houses from abroad and upmarkets such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are likely to move to Tirupur in view of theopening up the textiles market to global trade and will be looking for quality office and residential space in the hosiery town," said Mr Purushotam Patodia, Managing Director of Prime Textiles.

Prime Textiles has aligned with Chennai-based engineering contract company South India Corporation Ltd and a Coimbatore architect firm Ramani Sankar and Associates for the project.

Conceived as a new age mall, Prime Enclave would in all have 400 flats and 20 penthouses on four acres and the commercial complex would be located in two acres.

The construction is expected to be over in 18 months.

Modern features/amenities being contemplated in the property include water softening plant, swimming pool, clubhouse and jogging track and 24-hour security.
