Bangalore , March 1

AFTER steering some of the leading spirits brands in the country, Mr Amar Sinha has has joined Golden Tobacco Company (GTC), owners of Panama brand, to spearhead its marketing and sales duties.

Mr Sinha quit as CEO of BDA Ltd, makers of Officers' Choice whisky, last week. When contacted, Mr Sinha confirmed that he has joined GTC as Director in-charge of sales and marketing. GTC is part of the Dalmia Group, which also owns companies such as Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd (GHCL).

He has had earlier stints navigating brands of Shaw Wallace Distilleries and Radico Khaitan, where he was credited with building 8 PM Whisky, one of the few successful new brands in the liquor industry in recent years.
