THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mr Palat Mohandas has taken charge as the new Chief Secretary of the State.

The outgoing Chief Secretary, Mr Babu Jacob, handed over charge to his successor at a simple function held in the Chief Secretary's office in the Secretariat on Monday. A formal send-off was given to Mr Jacob at a function held in the Durbar Hall of the Secretariat, attended by the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, among others. Mr Jacob has been retained as an honorary adviser for the ongoing urban development projects in the State.
