SBI branch at Vadakara

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Circle of the State Bank of India has opened its 239th branch at Vadakara in Kannur district.

Announcing this here, an official spokesman said the Municipal Chairperson, Vadakara, Ms Thankamony, inaugurated the branch on Monday at a function presided over by Mr S. Ramakrishnan, Deputy General Manager. The chief guest on the occasion was Mr Gokulam Gopalan, Chairman of Gokulam Group of Companies, who handed over the first deposit to Mr Ramakrishnan.

Among those who spoke on the occasion included Mr M. V. Easwaran, Assistant General Manager; Mr S. V. Abdul Kareem, Regional Secretary, SBI Officers' Association; Mr K. Raja Kurup, President, State Banks Staff Union; Mr K. Jayaram, Regional Manager and Mr P. K. Balachandran, Branch Manager.
