MS India forays into business applications space

New Delhi , March 2

MICROSOFT Corporation has obtained exclusive distribution rights from Navision India for Microsoft's two business management offerings — Axapta and Navision.

"The two business applications will continue to be sold in India by the existing 50 strong partner network. Navision India and Microsoft will work together to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for customers and partners while maintaining support for the products," a Microsoft release said here.

Mr Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Microsoft Corporation (India) said, "The announcement marks our entry in the business applications space and underlines our commitment for delivering business solutions at an unmatched cost/performance ratio that helps unleash the full business potential of small and mid-sized Indian organisations as well as divisions of large corporations."
