Scholars' League plans more centres

WITH the growth in demand for MBA graduates, the Bangalore-based Scholars' League, a company specialising in the Common Admission Test for B-Schools plans to expand to 20 centres in the South by June.
Mr Neelesh Asati, CEO, Scholars' League, said that the company was expanding from three centres to five in Bangalore, opening five new centres in Chennai and entering Tiruchi, Madurai, Salem and Coimbatore by the end of May. In June, the company plans to start operations in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
In the second phase, the company also plans to include the Civil Services, GRE (Graduate Record Examination) and GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) to its portfolio.
The expansion will be through both direct and franchisee model, Mr Asati said. The company will have about five of its own centres. Each centre would require an investment of Rs 4 lakh, he said.
As a launch programme, the company is organising a CAT help desk on Saturday and Sunday , at Loyola College, free of cost to all MBA aspirants. Mr Rangarajan Iyengar, Director, Sales and Marketing, Scholars' League, said that aptitude test would be followed by personality assessment and counselling by Indian Institute of Management alumni.
