Bangalore , March 2

THE US-based ASG Software Solutions has launched its India operations, with sales and marketing operations in Bangalore and Mumbai.

The President and CEO, Mr Arthur Allen, said the company was looking to acquire a software products company with technologies that complemented its own infrastructure management and mainframe technologies. "We are looking to acquire companies with 10-50 people and are looking to invest $10-40 million, based on the technology and customers the company has."

ASG is also looking to grow its business in the India market, primarily targeting the large services companies both as customers and as potential partners for implementing its technologies in North American and other markets, said Mr Markus Nowak, ASG Regional Vice-President (India).

"India will not only be a major technology contributor but also a technology consumer," said Mr Allen. The privately held company is an enterprise software and professional services firm with a range of software solutions.
