OTS for housing scheme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The one-time settlement scheme (OTS) envisaged as part of collection of arrears by the Kerala State Housing Board (KSHB) will be in force till March 31 only.

An official spokesman said here that under the scheme, which covers beneficiaries of the loan and hire purchase schemes, penal interest would be fully waived. Hundred per cent exemption in arrear interest would be given to beneficiaries belonging to weaker sections, and 70 to 100 per cent to beneficiaries of the other schemes. Those interested in availing themselves of the benefit may submit applications to the regional, divisional, district or branch officers of the Board, the spokesman added.
