Water levels recede at major reservoirs in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water level at the three major reservoirs, Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada, has receded slightly in the past week.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission, the level receded from 2,342.82 ft to 2,339.70 ft at Idukki, 480.51 ft to 476.74 ft at Idamalayar and from 354.72 ft to 349.74 ft at Kallada. The respective water levels were, however, higher by 14.10 ft at Idukki, 9.84 ft at Idamalayar and 4.27 ft at Kallada when the year-on-year readings are compared.
