Alliances & Joint Ventures Satyam, Symbian partner for wireless solutions Our Bureau
Hyderabad , March 4 SATYAM Computer has announced it has become a member of Symbian's Platinum Program to support the growing market for `Smartphones' based on Symbian (OS) Operating System, as well as service its existing customers, which include Fortune 100 companies. Symbian OS is used by leading handset manufacturers, such as Nokia, Panasonic, Siemens, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Following this move, Satyam will extend its mobile platform service offerings to the Symbian OS ecosystem. Till date, almost 20 million phones based on Symbian OS have been shipped worldwide. The Director and Senior Vice President of Satyam, Mr T.R. Anand, in a statement said: "By becoming a Symbian Platinum Partner, we can further expand our offerings and strengthen relationships with users, application developers, smart phone manufacturers and network operators."
