THE three-day India Trade and Investment Forum, which will focus on investment and trade opportunities in 12 priority sectors, including textiles, drugs and pharmaceuticals, auto components, light engineering, ICT, leisure and tourism, food processing and agri-business and urban development, will start here from March 9.
The conference will be organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC), according to a release.
Mr Kamal Nath, Minister of Industry and Commerce, will inaugurate the forum.
In line with the Government's focus on infrastructure, the forum will zero in on a special infrastructure roundtable, where key decision makers would deliberate on sectors such as ports, roads and highways, transportation, power and oil and gas.
Mr Rahul Bajaj, Co-Chair, CBC, said, "The forum's key focus will be on highlighting the trade and investment opportunities in priority sectors earmarked by the Government."
