Indiasoft meet targeted at small, medium buyers

Chennai , March 7

INDIASOFT 2005, this year's edition of the annual event hosted by the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), is to be held in Chennai over two days — March 21 and 22.

The event, targeted at small and medium buyers of IT software services from like-sized vendors in India, expects to attract about 88 exhibitors. According to Mr Nalin Kohli, Chairman, ESC, "Every year, the IT Ministry sponsors about 100 visitors. This year, an additional 100 visitors from countries such as Japan are visiting on their own volition."

Countries that will have representatives visiting the event include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Botswana, Ethiopia, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.

He added that the ESC has about 2,200 members.
