HCL Info logs 13.7 per cent market share in desktop PCs

New Delhi , March 8

HCL Infosystems today said it has maintained the top slot in the desktop PC segment for the year 2004 in both commercial and consumer space.

"According to the recent IDC report, HCL leads the market with a market share of 13.7 per cent, up from 9.2 per cent in 2003," a company release said here.

HCL's market share increased from to 16.6 per cent (10.6 per cent) in the fourth quarter of 2004, a growth of 103 per cent, it added.

In this period, the company sold 146125 units, 46.4 per cent higher than the nearest MNC competitor.
