New Projects SKP group eyes SME sector in Pune Our Bureau
Pune , March 8 THE Mumbai-based SKP group, a consulting group focussed on providing single-window services to foreign companies keen to open shop in India, has announced the launch of its Pune operations. Talking to reporters at the launch of its operations in the city, its Chief Executive, Mr Sapan Parekh, said the group would offer services including international tax and transfer pricing services, business improvement solutions and outsourcing services in the areas of accounting and UK tax processing. ``With Pune now becoming a major destination for foreign companies, in both manufacturing and IT sector, there is a growing potential,'' he said pointing out that the group is an affiliate of SC International, a worldwide network of accounting and consulting firms across fifty countries. ``Also among the services we provide are entry strategy, regulatory approvals, company incorporation, recruitment, vendor selection and complete project management on turnkey basis'', Mr Parekh added. The SKP group consists of three group companies with the flagship, SKP Cross Border Consulting, which specialises in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and investment structuring. SKP e-Solutions provides seamless accounting and taxation outsourcing solutions and handles payroll processing, tax compliance and financial data services. SKP Astral Consulting's service portfolio addresses key concerns in the areas of competitiveness, corporate governance and harnessing IT. Mr Parekh said in Pune, it would target the large SME sector and help local companies keen to venture abroad with the processes involved in international taxation, transfer pricing and outbound investment advice. The group, which currently runs a financial and tax outsourcing centre with about 50 people, is planning to double capacity to hundred during next year, according to Mr Parekh. The new office of the group was inaugurated by the Venkateshwara Hatcheries group Chairperson, Ms Anuradha Desai, in the presence of the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Ian Hughes.
